Heavily Jonathan Richman influenced, this song is about a young girl I dated off and on for a year in 09/10. We had a real connection in an artistic/creative minds sort of way. My memory for her is still just as admiring. She stopped seeing me in order to date her long time friend and more appropriate boyfriend. I was an old, burnt out lover couldn't be there for her emotionally... BUT, this new fella... he couldn't challenge her.
